Gianna Pistoresi graduated from College of the Environment at Western Washington University with a BS in Environmental Science with an emphasis in Freshwater and Terrestrial Ecology. For 2 years Ms. Pistoresi worked with Glacier Peak Institute where she was involved in community outreach and environmental education. While at Glacier Peak Institute she also coordinated programs looking at plant identification and water quality. Ms. Pistoresi was also a part of a research trip to Ecuador where she spent her time studying the tropical ecology of the area. This research into tropical ecology included learning more about the carbon storage and biodiversity of the area. Now as an Environmental Technician & Project Manager with ATSI, Gianna devotes her time to protecting wetlands and advocating for sustainable land development throughout the Pacific Northwest. Gianna’s role at ATSI involves assisting in critical areas determinations, performing stormwater analyses, interpreting code for regulatory compliance, GIS mapping, and data collection.
